Despite a small serving of games for Monday, plenty of good matches. The games were pretty much dominantly decided. The Lightning killed the Leafs, the Sharks felt the Blackhawk hurt, and the Canucks weren't intimidated by whatever a "Wild" does. I went 2-1 tonight which isn't bad really. I think I'm giving the Sharks too much credit with the Blackhawks. Funny enough, this was the first game the Blackhawks beat the Sharks. No complaints. Here's the results for Monday.
3/14/2011 - Monday
Lightning at Maple Leafs : Pick - Lightning : Result -- 6-2 Lightning : Correct : 138-105
Sharks at Blackhawks : Pick - Sharks : Result -- 6-3 Blackhawks : Wrong : 138-106
Wild at Canucks : Pick - Canucks : Result -- 4-2 Canucks : Correct : 139-106
=Dumbest Pick of the Night=
None. I don't want to put the Sharks at Blackhawks here because the Sharks had beat the Hawks three games this season already. History was there.
=Hardest Pick of the Night=
Sharks at Blackhawks : I went with the reasoning above for picking the Sharks. Three games over the Hawks this year. Regardless of the season history, it still wasn't an easy pick. Out of all the games tonight, these two teams were the most evenly matched and that's what made it difficult. But, the Hawks slammed the Sharks, beating their former goalie Niemi with ease.
=Easiest Pick of the Night=
Wild at Canucks : When there are only three games, one can only use deductive reasoning. Of the three games, this one was the easiest to determine. Minnesota is suffering through injuries and on the decline. Vancouver is priming for a good run at the Cup. Easy choice here.

Full menu for Tuesday with ten games on tap. Plenty of good ones. Capitals at Canadiens, Hurricanes at Sabres, Kings at Predators, Sharks at Stars, and Coyotes at Flames should all be pretty good games to watch. I won't watch it live, but I'm eagar to see how the Flyers respond against the Panthers after blowing a lead against the Thrashers. Every single point counts. We should see some pretty good hockey for the rest of the season for that reason alone.
The night has some good games but it doesn't necessarily feature a lot of heavy weights facing off. I'm actually expecting to have a mediocre night because there are a lot of evenly matched teams as well as a few games where I can see the weaker team winning (see Islanders at Rangers). Game of the night goes to both the Sharks at Stars and Coyotes at Flames. Huge games when it comes to the Western Conference. Tuesday's picks below.
