What started out as a terrible night was salvaged by a pair of overtime wins by the Canucks and Sharks. Those games were extremely tough to pick between as the results will show. I went 5-4 for the night and I should feel grateful for it. Despite that, I again don't have a Dumbest Game of the Night to hand out. It's in my opinion that the games I lost were within reason. The most important event of the night for me was the Flyers breaking out of their funk by beating one of the league's worst (Oilers). Good to see my boys getting it together again. It's only one game but they looked pretty good. The most interesting result was the Blackhawks and Panthers game. The Panthers pulled the biggest upset of the night and beat the Blackhawks. Very impressive. Let's see how it shaped up.

=Dumbest Pick of the Night=
I'd put a game like the Sabres and Penguins here, but I really don't think picking the Sabres over the Penguins is dumb. If Crosby and Malkin were playing, obviously it would be a dumb play. It's hard to get a feel for the Penguins when they don't have a huge talent. Kovalev and Neal can't cover what Crosby and Malkin can do. That's just my opinion. No dumb picks tonight.
=Hardest Pick of the Night=
Bruins at Canadiens : This game was filled with bad blood. Chara was ejected in the second period for a hit on Max Pacioretty which wasn't (in my opinion) intentionally dirty. It was scary nonetheless. Both teams are very hot right now. The ending score and game didn't reflect it, but this game was a difficult one to choose between. I think I went with Montreal due to their four game winning streak. Montreal and Boston would be an awesome playoff matching with all the dramatics between the teams this year.
=Easiest Pick of the Night=
Avalanche at Wild : Colorado seems to be just heading further into the abyss. They haven't played well at all lately. Minnesota is fighting for their playoffs lives. They currently sit at nine but are tied for the eighth spot and only two points behind the Stars who are in fifth. Minnesota needed this game. Colorado is just trying to finish the season in one piece. Easy enough decision.
=Should, Coulda, Didn't Game of the Night=
Senators at Devils : New Jersey has won 20 of their last 25 games. They are absolutely scorching hot. The Senators have been upsetting teams here and there (they beat the Flyers evenly) but I couldn't see them beating the Devils. If the Devils really expect to make a run for the playoffs (it would be tough), they can't go losing to teams like the Senators. Every point matters when you're in New Jersey's shoes. Shoulda won, coulda won, but didn't win.
