Only two games for Monday but there were some pretty exciting results. The Rangers pulled an epic comeback over the Boston Bruins in the third period. Boston can't be too pleased losing a game they should have locked away. Way too many defensive lapses. The determined play by the Rangers allowed them to get a little bit of breathing room. They still haven't clinched a spot but winning this game helped solidify their odds. The Sharks beat the Kings up pretty badly 6-1. The goaltending was spotty for Los Angeles. There were a few routine type shots that slipped through. The Kings missed a chance to take possession of fourth in the Western Conference and will have to be satisfied with fifth for now. With the big win, San Jose claimed the Pacific Division crown. They'll be fighting with Detroit for the right to the second seed for the remainder of the regular season. Monday's results below.

Game : Pick : Result : Pick Result (OT or SO W or L based on my pick) : My Season Record
OT/W or OT/L - My pick won or lost in OT.
SO/W or SO/L - My pick won or lost in a shootout.
=Dumbest Pick of the Night=
None. Only one loss and I wouldn't consider it a dumb pick.
=Hardest Pick of the Night=
None. Same as above. Both picks weren't all that difficult.
=Easiest Pick of the Night=
Kings at Sharks : I was going to put none here as well, but this game was the easier of the two for me to decide. With the Los Angeles Kings battling injuries I was able to see that a Sharks squad at full power would likely win. With a 6-1 victory over the Kings, my thoughts were justified.
=Got Owned Game of the Night=
Kings at Sharks : I'd consider the goaltending tandem of Quick and Bernier of the Kings to be pretty good. They weren't so tonight. Quick was lit up and Bernier let in two (though I wouldn't blame him) in relief. The Sharks were able to score some goals on a couple of routine shots. There was some ownage going on in San Jose tonight.
=Shoulda, Coulda, Didn't Game of the Night=
Bruins at Rangers : This game could almost go in the 'Got Owned' area. The Rangers scored five straight goals (three in the third period) to beat the Bruins who led 3-0 at one point. The three final Rangers goals came within the same three minutes of play. Boston can't afford breakdowns like these, especially when they were in control of the game. Boston was so close to holding out and winning this one. The should and could were there, but the Boston Bruins were not.

Full night of games ahead for Tuesday. A lot at stake, specifically in the Eastern Conference. Washington and Philadelphia will both be playing for a chance to own the Eastern Conference. If one wins and the other loses, we'll see someone in sole possession. The Capitals won't have it easy though. They'll be playing against a Toronto team that has it's backs against the wall. The Penguins will need to defeat the Devils in order to stay in the Atlantic Division picture. A Flyers victory coupled with a Penguins loss in regulation will give Philly the division. The Dallas Stars also have a must win game in play for Tuesday. They're sitting in the tenth spot but could shoot to ninth and within a point of the Chicago Blackhawks with a victory. A lot at stake. Tuesday's picks are below.
